The New Yorker arrived yesterday and I thought its cover apropos in that it was all black. Then I noticed that almost the entire issue was devoted to the attack and for the first time that I can remember, there were no cartoons. So I went to find an editor's statement and noticed that the cover had a credit line. So I looked again and you can see the 2 towers but just barely - black on black.

I've had this discussion with other people. If what he is saying is that our government has engaged in things around the world that has pissed other nations off - I agree. However, the Nutty Professor had better realize that his opinion leads to just the opposite of what he wants - which sounds to me like NO RETALIATION. The fact that our Citizens were killed by people of other countries based on the actions of our government means that our Retaliation should be just as indiscriminate with regard civilians. I have no problem feeling that way because our citizens were just as innocent at 7:30 am on September 11. To handcuff our response means we place a higher value on their innocent civilians than we do our own. Bomb them early and bomb them often - Cheers.
