Their problem is that they are selfish Their problem is that they are afraid. They are afraid that their skills and ideas are not cut out for the modern world so as new millenium luddites they got their Junior leader to smash technology, at least for another decade or so. In the mean time they can get the country bottled up in their brand of religion and use that to hold back more change. The main difference between the American conservatives and the Islamic conservatives is that the American variety has destroyed trillions of dollars of the economy to stop progress instead of just billions.
