I think everyone is in a panic oversold state. Nobody knows what the future holds so they expect the worse. Also the market is factoring in a dramatic and permanent major drop in consumer spending. Also people kind of expect a possible repeat bombing that could keep us down here for quite some time.

On the upside tens of billions of dollars are going to go out in contracts from the government and you can bet that there will be a lot of network electronics in those contracts. Also the y-y comparison is bound to look good soon. Also I heard Mariott chairman and others say that consumer spending in this last few days is starting to come back after a inital major drop off.

Time will tell. It is bad to be long when the market takes a pounding but even worse to be out of stocks when we start to go up.
