Ohhhh choosie. I think this statement you made last night must've been lost in the sauce: Part of me wishes to be dead right now rather than watch it. If we allow ourselves to feel this way, terrorism wins. Please don't let it. The events of September 11th (and, like you, I think there will be more) changed so much about us. It certainly peeled away our sense of safety. It has caused us to look at the lives we've been leading. It's caused many of us to choose sides and vilify our fellow citizens. It's caused us to consider our personal safety in ways we never thought we had to. The trauma is exhausting and inevitable. But it will pass.
