I didn't know Kristol worked for Quayle. That explains a lot. Good night.

Dear Flappie: Too much is made of that. I watched Gen'l Powell's speech, and I watched Bush's also. Washington LOVES to stir up controvery to have something to talk about. The BOTTOM LINE is Powell IS more cautious then most Generals, BUT, he is trained to take orders and he will. IMHO Krystal was out of line with his comments and the entire matter is blown WAY out of any significance.
The TRUTH is NO ONE including the President knows exactly what is going to happen. That is because no one can accurately predict what actions the affected govts will take. Outside of Afghanistan which is going to be TOAST and not that big a deal in the big picture the rest depends upon what Iraq, Iran, Libya, Sudan and so on decide to do about THEIR home grown terrorists. Bush has said, the past is over its the future we are addressing. Mend your ways, and you can join the coalition. etc etc. JDN
