Mindmeld,

I am still holding MESA. I never, ever, ever! average down - it's a recipe for disaster. I normally put an automatic stop loss on any stock I have (I refuse to take a loss of more than 15%), but I didn't with MESA.

I will continue to hold MESA as I said I bought it as my patriotic duty and I will hold true to that.

But you have to understand Mindmeld, that I only have 500 shares of the stock. This represents 1/50th of my long-temr portfolio (as opposed to my trading portfolio). On the same day I picked up MESA, I also bought some silver and gold stocks which more than make up for the bad fill on MESA.

Every portfolio has it's winners and losers, but this won't kill me either way - this is why people need to be diversified.
