Really Duplessis and St Laurent had mastered the art, and no doubt would have wondered why they bothered to bombe at all. Why complain about power when money is power and that can be stolen in so many artful ways? For every three tax dollars raised in Canada, 2 dollars goes to Quebec in transfer payments, despite the fact that they are only 25% of the population. (This will happen as long as Quebecers are the majority in Federal gov't or the pm is a PQ, as has been the case for the past 40 years) This can be seen in the lavish accoutrements of public works, highways and public buildings in Quebec. It is so much richer than Ontario that it stinks. All the fr. millionaires such as Campeau, Desmarais, and Pelladeau and Bombardier have got their bucks from shameful, shameless gov't pork barrelling into fr. liberal hands. Pourquoi? Are the Atlantic provinces and Manitoba not poorer? The excuse is Quebec is a "have not" province. Or so they say. I would say they are a "must have" province. The party will soon be over. EC<:-}
