What memories that symbol brings back!

Thanks for the links, which were interesting.

In looking around I see a number of companies are listed as being competitors of JNPR and CSCO in the gigabit router market, such as:

Pluris
Caspian networks
AVCI
Hyperchip
Procket Networks

Back in July it was reported by Dell'Oro that in the first quarter of the year the market had contracted from $835 million to $753 million, and even further in the second quarter (not sure how much).

An analyst, Steve Kamman with CIBC was quoted that he felt the best opportunity for the startups would be in late 2002 and early 2003 when he expected telecom carriers to consider overhauling their networks. He also raised the question of whether the startups would have such a compelling solution that it would be worthwhile for the carriers to switch from JNPR and CSCO.

If these comments turned out to be true, the issue for CWNT would be to stay alive until then. What do we really know about burn rate and funding for CWNT?

Namaste!

Jim
