I wonder how many times I have to say that I got on fine with 98% of the French-speaking people in Canada and that my original comment was intended to counteract cultural prejudice.

It's true that since I learned French in France, and in particular in Burgundy, that my French probably sounds to a Quebecois the way a British accent sounds to an American, as when we hear Scandanivians or other Europeans speaking English, having had a British lecteur or lectrice as a phonetics coach.

It's amazing to me that you know what my accent is like without hearing me speak.

Je ne veux pas utiliser cet appareil-ci pour m'exprimer parce qu'il faut ecrire les accent graves et les accent aigus avec trop de difficulte, et parcequ'il y a des gens qui voudraient croire que leur absence etait evidence de stupidite.
