But not as hard as dealing with the Taliban, afterwards.


That's why I said "unless you want to send in the marines." It might be easier to militarily take down the dictator then to take out Al Qaida. Of course invading Saudi to take out the Saudi monarchy might spawn a half dozen new Al Qaidas so I'm not sure that is an option. Sometimes it makes sense to ally ourselves with people who don't live up to our standards of democracy and human rights. Many other times it makes sense to at least not make any effort to topple or control those that don't meet our standards.
