No doubt. The problem is that when any sort of recovery does come, it will not only be a false dawn, but it will likely foster a tremendous amount of unfounded optimism about a new big growth phase starting and a new bull market. This will of course set up another big leg down and a deeper and more protracted downturn as that will be a deathblow to confidence. Only when all hope is lost and there is no more talk of bottoms will be actually be near one. I think Heinz said it before, but I believe the actual bottom will be completely unnoticed by virtually everyone. There will be so much apathy and hatred toward stocks by then as well. Certainly a ways off yet........
