Actually the rest of the article spoke of other entertainers promising to donate something some time in the future. I'd have included them, but Julia Roberts is the only one among them who has made good on a promise. It's possible as a New Yorker, deeply sorrowed, saddened and shocked by the terrible tragedy she did what she could to help and gave an enormous amount of money. She could have done it anonymously I suppose. Although to all intents and purposes she did for her generous gift was only briefly mentioned and I only caught because I scan everything. That's all. Generosity, compassion for one's fellow man doesn't always have ulterior motives.
