First off, my position has always been and remains that short selling is neither immoral nor harmful to the market, quite the contrary in fact. The stock market is not the place to make statements other than finance. I clearly said "I do not use a hammer to put a drywall screw in. Why should I use the stock market for what it was not meant?".

That said, I also said that like most people I am not immune to the emotional impact of the event. Therefore the prudent thing to do is to avoid trading (or keeping positions that require constant monitoring). I was in no mood to trade. I needed to vent off my ideas here and it helped me more than the P&L statement would have.

As for XLNX, I saw it acting weak and decided it'll be heading south soon. So I shorted it. There is nothing more to it.

good luck to all,
Sun Tzu
