I know one union guy who is a heavy equipment operator. He deliberately messes up any job he's on so no one wants him. Trouble is Milt has 30 years in the union so when a contractor goes to the hall, this guy is one of the first on the list. So the contractor that draws Milt then has to hire another real operator to do the job. Milt goes for coffee, naps, picks up and delivers lunch and goes home while being paid for 8 hours as an operator.
