Fred, Your buddy has the old ugly american mentality. It exists here as well on the left, particularly at some of our most prestigious universities. As a former leftist myself, I don't kid myself thinking there is no truth in what they say. All that being said, i do agree with you that we should be concentrating on first things first and this is the elimination of terrorism. After that we can start on the road of a better overall foreign policy that includes Jerome's humanitarian aid, Brian's brave new world based on love and mutual respect and a Marshall plan of sorts for all of the middle east. None of this can be accomplished however unless and until we wipe out the terrorists and the governments that give them support. mike
