Hi Rashid, BA (until recently) was a "local" company and I even had a summer job at the 'Lazy B' once. My father thought it was a good way to introduce me to the markets and so suggested that I start my investing career by buying businesses that I saw producing and could follow. Unfortunately, MSFT wasn't around in those days and when it came public I was living in Alabama. SBUX I did get in on the IPO for, so I guess some of my father's teaching stuck.
