Glenn, this could be huge for Amazon.com. I guess where I'm confused is why would I book a trip thru amzn when I can book a trip directly thru expedia?

No reason to book through Amazon. Any person with a little on-line travel experience would go directly to Expedia.

hj, it is just called marketing. let's get our name out in front of more folks. brand loyalty isn't worth much - that is old e-hype to justify the insanity.

don't believe me? let amzn raise prices to profitable levels and watch the customers run away... in droves... they KNOW this which is why they DON'T DARE do it.
