You spent all that time typing and you still don't have a clue what your talking about. the Apostles Creed predates Constantine and the "Roman Catholic Church" so it can hardly be ascribed to them alone. The Protestant understanding of the particulars of the creed, especially regarding "the communion of the Saints" and "the Holy catholic Church" varies dramatically from Rome's. One of the main points of the Reformation was the principal of Sola Scriptura, therefore the Creed is only binding insofar as it is Biblical.

""Modernists" believe little, "if any" of the apostolic creed, then either they are not Christians, OR the apostolic creed is not a reliable indication of Christian belief."

Well give the boy a cookie! Since the Apostles Creed does codify the clear teaching of Scripture, it is indeed a reliable indication of Christian belief. I fail to see the big deal in that.

It is Rome's teaching on what constitutes a "Saint" that is at variance with the Biblical teaching, ditto for Purgatory so it not considered binding for Protestants.
