It's far more important what kind of people we are, not what the specifics of our ideology (religious or otherwise) is That is exactly right. I often run across people who attempt to determine religious, political, or other leanings, after which they make assumptions as to what kind of person you are, and treat you in ways, perhaps consistent with their stereotypical labels and assumptions, but not at all correspondent with the facts. This seems to me to be putting the cart before the horse, and I'm sure it is something all of us have done from time to time.
