Elmer - Re Jerry said: "Competition from AMD has taken 15 percentage points out of Intel's operating profit margin over the last year."

What a proud achievement for Jerry to put a hurt on Intel. And it only cost him a NEGATIVE operating profit margin for AMD and the jobs of 2300 AMDers -- not including Jerry of course.

Jerry will get a bonus this year -- he rigged the bonus system to his advantage -- while others loose their jobs. What a fine fellow !!

Elmer - From that Letter From jerry . By the end of next year we launch the eighth-generation, 64-bit "Hammer" for the desktop.
This indicates that their Hammer mat be later than expected and targeted only at the desktop.
I'd say AMD is slipping their schedules and reducing their target - away from the server market - or at least further delaying their entry into the server market.
By the way, does Jerry Sanders look like Osama bin Laden? He sure shares the ability to hate with a vengeance with that terrorist.
