It is so strange, we all think we are alone in our sorrow, and nightmares, but when we start comparing notes, we realize that many of us are in the same boat.

My daughter and I both had nights of horrible nightmares. There was death all around us, people falling in the streets, and continued unspeakable destruction. We both were very angry that someone outside our wonderful country was able to do this to us.

When the terrorists said they wanted to put fear in Americans, they succeeded in that respect, but although they gave us nightmares, it made us that much more resolved to see that they never have the opportunity to do this to us again.

My daughter called from the airport just now and said security was much more rigid, and we both said in unison, "Thank heavens!"

While we will never go back to the Brady Bunch days, we will return to some semblance of order in our daily lives, and if I were a terrorist, I would be having nightmares about how I would die.
