Relax. They are camera platforms about the size of a large bird.

(from those that brought you transponders that can be turned off in the cockpit)

Where should the switch be?

Hadn't heard this idea before, but do have a question for you. How do you know more about the capabilities and security issues of such a system more thoroughly than those that propose the idea?

I ask this whithout knowing who did propose it, and will offer that I do not have the knowledge to know whether this is workable or not. On the surface I could see it working in a way where the system only came on once the emergency arose. Your response indicates you feel it would just be some simple system that someone with a remote control from Radio Shack could control.

I think you could have some valid thoughts and inputs on ideas if you did not start with the assumption that the people in charge are dumb and do not have our interests in mind. That is the impression your posts give.
