There is an isolated enemy we can summarily defeat. Your argument could be used to describe the KKK in the south where there were also sympathiers. This is a not like a war on drugs. Drugs make a living and that's means there are those who will always pursue it. The actions of the US are isolating the terrorists. Just as the focus of the FBI isolated and destroyed the KKK. The terrorists seek whatever and have to buy help. Well money will be available to help both sides. I believe that those involved will all be able to be identified. Also with the increased pressure around the world that inserting informants will occur over time. There is for the next several months an increased danger of attacks based upon prepositioned people and resources. But it may turn out that the success of Sept 11 and the response that occurred was simple not planned for by the terrorists. This is the case that I think is probable. But even believing this I would go to a very high level of security as one only deals with certainty and not on best guesses in these situations. tom watson tosiwmee
