The benefit of becoming a board member of any company is financial. Board members are paid large sums of money. Some on an annual basis but most on the meetings they attend. And lets not forget the stock rewards and stock options.

They are handsomely rewarded and one can be a member of several BOD while doing nothing else in life and become very wealthy. (In most cases, MORE wealthy)

The details are usually in the annual reports.

Hearney - Defense Play?

Anyone got a take on the Hearney BOD addition?

Its very intriguing to me, especially in light of todays events, and especially in light of the kind of war they will have to fight to eliminate the scumbags.

What's Jain up to? Is it simply SMS? Voice engine? Anyone question Jain on what he was doing at the Pentagon recently?

Hearney links:

He seems to be the real deal here, and I'm very impressed with his addition to the board, if INSP has a realistic offering in the defense field.

this last one is obscenely long, Hearney's only reference is interesting however, in that he discusses the folly of a lot of what is being planned in the high tech arena, gadgets and toys of no practical use to a combat infantryman. The main thrust being that technologies chief asset in combat is to lighten the load of the battlefield soldier. The simpler, the better. Hearney seems to be very knowledgeable and well connected as far as defense procurement of high tech equipment goes
