The cause and the strength of the terrorist movement does not lie in Afganistan. We agree there. Bush and his team know it too. The American people have been asked to give their utmost in support and emotion and they have responded. In turn they are getting a half-measure from their leadership. It is the mark of a leader to rally support (outside of those who hate Bush and would'nt back him no matter what) It may be that the half-measure is the correct response in this situation but by asking for a full measure of backing the result can't help but be a dissapointment. Quite to the contrary. Bush Jr. is settup the country just like Bush Sr. did such that even if all goals are met the result will be to embolden our enemies and discourage the populace. Sorry TP, history records the fact that we worked within a coalition, the likes of which has not been seen since WW2 (BTW, How's thaT FOR LEADERSHIP?) Had Bush gone further as revisionist, backlooking doves turned hawks when convienient are only NOW suggesting, we would have had a real bloodbath on our hands. History will show Bush handed Clinton, Saddam in a Bottle and BJ Bill let him out because he was afraid.
