kv,

Who knows how many shares they have bought back last week? With the encouragement of SEC, I believe that CSCO have spent a signficant portion of the 3 B last week trying to support its share price at $14. The problem is, of course, when they ceased to buy it on the open market, no other buyers are stepping in.

I was very much enticed to make some major purchase at current level before I realized that short covering has been playing a major role in the artificial stabilization of the market. Short interest dropped from 6%+ to 4% since Monday last week. This has to be a huge blow to any bulls. Without any meaningful good news out of the market, and significant less amount of shorts serving as buffer in the next leg down, how can we rally from current level?
