Cheney said he had made the decision and thereupon made a recommendation to President Bush to shoot down passenger planes:

A 'HORRENDOUS DECISION'

But Cheney said the hardest choice was the evidently unprecedented decision to shoot down, if necessary, a commercial aircraft within the United States -- a decision he said Bush made on Cheney's recommendation. All four hijacked planes crashed before the order could be executed.

I know alot about terrorists and many years ago had my own Iranian crisis. My understanding of the mindset is far above average for the mainstream American citizen.

I'll look for an article about Cheney, Bush and Rove. If you listen to the news you will hear many things.......Cheney was on a talk show last Sunday morning and White House staff have reported that Bush made the decision to shoot the plane. Cheney did say that he told the Pres to make that decision. If you watched the show and listened to the news you would know what I said was correct. Also, the fact that Bush did not quickly return to Washington was excused by a lie that the Air Force One was targeted. That is obvious that it was used to cover up his failure to return. They are blaming staffers for the lie.

My knowlwdge of the incident is quite enlightened from a few of my friends...A Pakistani Moslem who had three family members in the WTC, an Indian Hindu , and a Chinese nationalist who fled 7 years ago after becoming an MD in mainland China under the Communist regime. Those friends along with my personal experiences with Iranian and Saudi men is more than enough to help me understand the events of the last couple weeks.

Sorry about the spelling mistakes but I am in a rush to get to work right now.
