For years he had good protection. Now that the line is being rebuilt, it's the new excuse. His lifetime QB rating is 76.0.

Bledsoe had a great OL, a great running game, great receivers, and a great coach for years, and he still struggled. When the Pats went to the Super Bowl, Parcells had to rein in the passing game, because Bledsoe was always liable to make mistakes. They could have beaten the Pack if the coaching staff had a QB they could have confidence in. Phil Simms or Jeff Hostetler would have sufficed.
