BTW, Tom, I heard a piece on NPR today discussing 'urban legends' on the Internet. One of the legends that has been circulating by email since Sept 11 is the claim that the CNN shots of Palestinian kids dancing with joy after the WTC destruction really dates from the Gulf War. NPR reported that CNN has responded, saying, absolutely not, the film dates from Sept 11. According to NPR, the legend was traced back to a Brazilian student who at first said that he heard a professor say this, but later retracted the claim.

Since you too had repeated the claim on this thread, I thought you'd be glad to get the real story.
