Agreed about Christianity. It is far more inclusive than Judaism, but the notion that "people who aren't Christian will burn in Hell" bothers me. I think religions are shaped by cultures, and so I wouldn't want to impose Christianity on China, for example. Tom

there is a passage in the torah - i believe in exodus - which says that non-jews can become jews. the ones who left egypt with them and were sincerely trying to know their G-d; G-d told them to let those people into the tribe, there in exodus (i think it was exodus). think about this "Y" dude in the bible; he's a fascinating G-d. he parted the red sea, gave the israelis an extra day without night in one battle; brought down a temple using samson; knocked out sodom and gomorhha; gave those people in that one city all large tumors when they took the ark from the jews; did the flood; quite an interesting G-d. didn't "Y" live in a tent at one time - a tent where the jews went and talked to Him? is that biblical or did i get some misinformation off of a webpage? it's neither here nor there but when "Y" took out sodom et al, it was because those people were radical perverts. they went to lot's house the night before the 'nuking' and tried to get some 'angel dudes' out of the house so they could 'sodomize' them. lot got away the next day. man the bible is bizarre. do you think those 'angel dudes' in lot's house in the last night in sodom et al were actually G-d and some cohorts? i believe in the 'supercomputer in the sky' - the one main G-d and a bunch of lesser g-ds. beyond that i figure it's tough to get the facts on any of the details. andy
