I hate them. My Web browser hates them. My cat hates them. If you can't stand them, either, listen up. I've found a free program that gets rid of them. It's not perfect, but then nothing in life is perfect anyway. But it does a great job. It's Pop-Up Stopper from Panicware. Pop-Up Stopper runs on any modern version of Windows. (I use it on Windows 2000 and my wife runs it on Windows 98.) It requires Internet Explorer 5-something (5.0, 5.5 and so on). If you're running an older version of Internet Explorer, upgrade so that you can take advantage of this software
