I don't know about evil, but misguided anyway...there was a nice piece in the science times (NY) on Tue about the guys who made this great encryption software and the FBI wanted them NOT to peddle it, but they felt in a free country we deserved it etc etc now they are feeling guilty & wondering, did that software help hide the footprints of the terrorists ahead of time... did you read that atlantic piece from 1990 posted on FADG thread, how the cold war would someday be seen as the long peace, and why. these situations are complex...either/or is not the solution anyway, i'm finished with my last of four deadlines in a row so i am going to sleep and relax for a few days thanx for all your good postings
