Glenn, what on earth prompted that arrogant outburst? Why is saying I've never heard of a particular service and asking you if it's something new a problem for you? FYFI, I haven't worked in banking since 1990 (though I have worked closely with bankers since). New financial services get introduced all the time, but in five and a half years I never saw insurance policies as a backstop for potentially bad A/R. Saw lots of other forms of credit enhancement, but they are usually arranged by the debtor, so what you mentioned sounded odd to me. You say it exists. That's great. Never said it didn't. Why be an a-hole about it?

Re DIP financing and viability of business models, DIP lenders don't always take such a long term view of things. Can they get repaid from the collateral? The assets they are financing the purchase of and everything else they can latch onto? That's the big question, not whether the model will work long-term. Come on Glenn. You've got all the answers. Surely you knew that, right?

Had a bad day? Someone ding your car in the parking lot? Run over your cat?
