"The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it." I will never, ever forget seeing Blodget on the tube, looking into the lens of the camera and saying "$400" -- and I looked into his eyes and i thought to myself, "few people could turn in that kind of performance", "few people could come on national television, say what he said, and keep a straight face". That is when I decided to post on this thread. I was at a party and I met a guy who had a vette, bought with borrowed money by a guy that decided to put the money he had saved for a down payment on a house into AMZN stock instead, and he had made so much money on paper that he decided to let it roll, borrow an amount of money that reflected his new "wealth" to buy the car, and leave his wife and young son to live the life of the guy with the new economy strike-it-rich stock portfolio, a small mountain of debt, no more down payment for a house, no family, and a car he could not afford but which his new girlfriend really liked -- and this guy was at this party "talking stocks". I remember saying to myself, ok, this little joke has gone far enough.
