MG, My well-worn (falling apart) Websters Dictionary only has one principle definition of inflation: an increase in the amount of money in circulation, resulting in a relatively sharp and sudden fall in its value and rise in prices. Continues to amaze me how many folks just don't seem to get it. Looking at my Mstar data at 8/31, 1,044 companies out of a database of 6,479 U.S. companies had a YTD stock performance of greater than a negative 50%. I imagine it has gotten somewhat worse since then. TB
