Kap- they created a great demand for an alternative to a bloated P4 platform on a corporate desktop

Maybe this is the reason that Compaq will add Athlon XP to their corporate line. There is more interest in AMD because some companies are rejecting the P4.

Of course, I'm not convinced that the CPQ rumor is true, but we'll see..

I'm still not sure it's a done deal.

But if it is, it ranks right up there with the RMBS ideas of yesteryear, IMO.

If it weren't for that stated policy I'd be out of my INTC shorts.
