In fact there are TWO. TD-Price Waterhouse is one, and National Securities in Seattle is another one, with a direct Canadian trading desk. However, NS is pricier than TD-Price Waterhouse. There are certain SEC regulations that have to be followed by those wishing direct Canadian desks, and the costs of registration and documentation, while not prohibitive, are a cost most US brokerage firms do NOT wish to pay, and therefore, they skirt the laws. One of the laws "most skirted" are the lack of "blue sky filing registrations" by Canadian listed firms for the USA 50 state SEC requriements. Therefore, buying and selling in Nasdaq OTC lists is the only choice for USA players who wish to play Canadian stocks with non-registered brokerage firms who have not payed the monies required and filled out the forms. Ditto those Canadian firms who do NOT do the blue-sky thing in the US and generate hundreds of thousands of dollars of levied US's SEC levied fines, a serious enforcement action effort over the last 5+ years down here. A former NS broker of good repute, a dude by the name of Steve Taylor of the Taylor Group website, (info@taylorstocks.com) is now working as a consultant to Canadian firms who wish to do the legit Canadian direct game, as the USA is a wide-open territory. When Steve and I emailed last, he provided me the name of the outfit he consults for but I've misplaced it, sorry. If I ever find it again (and yes, I just stopped and went to look-unsuccessfully) I'll return to this thread and post that information. RE: NASD listing of CA stocks. I prefer doing it that way, because the penny or two that I give up on the getting in and getting out is just no problem, when you are buying when nobody wants them, and selling when everybody wants them. ALWAYS BUT ALWAYS use limit orders on NASD listed Canadians, and you'll NOT have a problem, is my rule. ONWARD and FORWARD, Wayne <g> gold_tutor
