The boycott of Nazi Germany was a Ghandian approach by some Jewish leaders. Ghandi knew it failed, but nonetheless penned his racist article condemning Jewish emigration into Palestine in 1938.

I did respond, I think, and said it was BS. Maybe you missed that, or maybe the post went astray. If so, let me say, again, it was BS.

I was a printer for seven years - making up fake newspapers is child's play. Die Sturmer did it all the time. You have a penchant for passing along disinformation. I suppose you find it amusing.

It neither says who these International Jews are, any quotes from prominent representatives, or any other such information. Even if this is not a fake, it is certainly hyperbole. There was no such Jewish unity, no 14 million international Jews taking political action on behalf of their German brethren. I won't say there was not a Jewish boycott, I don't know. But any claim that "International Jewry" was rising up and declaring war on Nazi Germany is a farce. And a typical means of "victimizing" the German regime by revisionists.

Yes, I am disagreeing with you. In the face of open anti-semitism, the secular Jews of Germany offered barely any resistance. They didn't believe the threats could be serious, and couldn't be directed towards them, good hard working Germans that they were. The Jewish strategy of survival through obscurity, the political passivity of European Jews, contributed as well. Arendt's "Origins of Totalitarianism" puts the phenomenon in good historical perspective. The link below has a short list of other works dealing with this topic.

Jewish resistance did not occur until it was too late to prevent the Nazis from coming to power, and too late to escape.
