I would like to ask The Republican Senator who is opposed to a woman's right to vote, " how do you feel about women's education? Do you believe women should be educated?" Should an American delegation ever have a chance to visit Taliban Land, and if she is still in the Senate where, according to her own philosophy she shouldn't be, she should be made to visit the women that have been oppressed by the Taliban. From what I hear, they are not very happy about their oppression, and are down-right depressed. I caught the tail-end of a wise Christian minister's speech on tv a few weeks ago. He said that in every religion there are fanatics and extremists. He said that Christianity was no exception. He was on a show with very prominent journalists and probably scholars as well. I wish I had seen the entire show since I was very impressed with what he said. However, the extreme conservative views of the Senator from Kansas are shared by many in the Bush administration. John Aschcroft who published an article in the pro-KKK magazine, Southern Patriot, Paul O'Neill, who refused initially to look into tax havens and who also wanted to abolish corporate income taxes at one point and others. And, of course, there was C. Rice who wanted to pull us out of NATO. In the past, Rummy could never get beyond the Cold War. Now We MUST worry about the civil liberties that Ashcroft PROPOSES to take away from us in his forthcoming report on how to deal with terrorists. Innocent Americans may also lose civil liberities. The details in the report may make all of us shudder.
