No but a ramp job like we had yesterday afternoon and early this morning sure wasn't normal and logical trading of "normal" traders. The PPT has been documented by a few rags such as the NY Times, Washington post and the Fed's own statements admit there is an agreement for a firm who's contract is switched or renewed on a regular basis has the authority to intervene to "maintain an orderly market".

Yesterday mornings reaction to the Durable goods order, housing start report and intial claims report was normal, a bt of short covering and some toe dipping would have been normal but a coordinated swing to a positive TICK of over a grand and jumps of 20 ND futures points and 10 S&P futures points caused primarily by QCOM, MMM, IBM etc are not.

I stated on our site last week and earlier this week were clear in that I expected a bounce soon and a fib retrace but Fed intervention of this sort is not healthy BWDIK.

Good Luck,

Lee
