Ten,

It's probably a good idea to be very low key if you are an Iranian flying around the US these days.

Ten,

Re: "This is bad."

Respectfully, as someone with family working on flight crews, I disagree.

I am told that there is little tolerance for threats of any kind on a plane, even before Sept. 11. Any member of a flight crew can have a passenger thrown off a flight and arrested. The same is true in an airport. If the man made a off-the-wall remark after being caught smoking, then the flight crew was within their rights to take it seriously.

RE:"The passenger, Javid Naghani, was taken into custody by federal agents but was not immediately charged with a crime. Naghani, an Iranian national who lives in Los Angeles, was to appear before a federal magistrate Friday.
Another man was questioned as a material witness, said Nancy Castles, an airport spokeswoman.
Naghani's wife, Rosa Hinojos, was questioned and released.
"This is not the way to treat residents," she said later. "This is the United States. My husband and I are not terrorists.""

Hey no method is perfect...On the other hand, the man is free to buy a one way ticket back to where ever he came from.

Ten, Re: Airliner returns to L.A. after passenger incident

The attack seems to be working as time goes by. Just like John said, WTC and those died are only tools, the targeted victims are the country and its people(well to some extend everyone around the globe) living.
