Heinz.....Patron, that big bully, is scaring me w/his talk of commercial short covering on NDX/minis POSSIBLY having some meaning here..

Please make me feel better. I had a nice, neat down scenario starting Tuesday next week. Patron (or the commercials, take your pick) took his crayon, and ruined my pretty picture. Waah, waah....

Heinz:

What is your prognosis for the markets after last week's big bounce? I do not see much more upside in the Dow and S&P 500 before we retrace at least half the gain. I am especially concerned by the relative weakness of the NDX last week. Unless that changes in a major way pronto, I think we may be looking at new lows there in the very near future.

I also note that gold and gold stocks held there own last week and closed strong, while in the past they have usually taken taken sharp hits during strong market rebounds. Not a good omens for the bulls IMHO.
