At one time in this country blacks had lower unwed pregnancy rates than whites. The factors you have cited fixed that.

agree...the 60's were the final nail...when i was a little kid all black families were pretty much intact with a
mom and a DAD and often a widowed Gramma or Grampa too.Life may have been unjustly & sometimes unbearably hard but there was a lotta love too.... It was a totally useful & magnificent institution
which was the real survival mechanism of the time. I've seen so much destroyed, so many lives ruined by drugs
since the 60's...its very very sad...
