obviously, people have yet to understand the magnitude of september 11ths tragedy. all that article does is show the complete ignorance of the far left and the far right.... when you find maxine waters and bob barr agreeing, i'd bet my bottom dollar (in MRV stock<g>) it's good legislation!

now, that being said, do i think carte blanche to the federal government is a good thing. heck no! it's not. plain and simple. now, let me know when you've read the bill and not some bs article in the NY Times, and get back to me on it....

if there's an immigrant deemed to be a national threat, and yet he has yet to blow up a fricking building...well...i guess we should let him go, right? if they are wreckless with this law, they should be held accountable, but we CLEARLY haven't been doing a good job in the INS in screening or detaining those who ARE a threat!
