TigerPaw: AMD should put a divide by two gate on the chip and start specifying crystals that are twice as fast. AMD should do something, making their "number" at least an order of magnitude different than Intel's "number". That would leave only one method of comparison: Actual Performance. -fyo

As an engineer I see your one liner and it makes no sense at all. But I do find this consistent with thinking in calling for the impeachment of the President. #reply-16423322 But in a slow economy the honesty in what a company does is critical. Trickery is the path of the foolish or retarded mind. With 256 meg dimms at 25 bucks there are few applications that need anything more the 800 meg. Dual p3 with a gig of memory can be built for less than 500 bucks. Even the msft cannot built bloated OSes that require anywhere near this power. watman.com tom watson tosiwmee
