LOL!! true joe! Same with the longs! Only in it for the money. I bought GE at 30& change. If it gets back to 40+ soon its gone. If it runs to 50 too fast I'll change sides. Same goal,, make a buck. I had no problem buying Yahoo at 167 and selling it @ 201 3/4 and changing sides. Take a look at todays price and I'm certain I gave up many thousands by covering many months too soon. I doubt it is worth todays price and as they say-- "nothing has changed"! Without all the shorts it may have doubled from there but the end result would be the same--

Joe: Can you explain why there is any difference in the ultimate effect of the following two transactions:
I buy a stock at 10AM and sell it at 3PM.
I short a stock at 10AM and cover at 3PM.
