If the object of the terrorists is to cause pain, and OBL's biggest enemies are the USA & SA, a strike an the energy infrastructure of SA would seem like a highly desirable option.

I would not want to be short crude, the day a tanker is sunk in the Strait of Hormuz or perhaps some export terminals are taken out.

Take out 2 MBPD of export capacity and lookout.
