>> I have shorted QQQ twice in the last two weeks, the first time for about a 3.6K profit, the 2nd time for a push. I got in and out of Brocade today. Shorted it at 4.35 and covered at 4.11 for a 1K profit.

Three trades, and you netted $4.6K. Thats $1.53K/trade. Only 651 trades to go until you make your second million. That should keep you off the streets <lol>.

Good dance lesson last night. We got some "advanced beginner" steps for the fox trot (slow-slow-quick-quick), jitterbug (slow-slow-quick-quick), and waltz (slow-slow-slow). And I only stepped on Nancy once <gg>.

Why didn't you tell us that the lindy was just a fast fox trot?

OT -

Good Luck with the new thread(s), LindyBill!

Tonight I went to the Kaplan Penthouse atop Lincoln Center in N.Y. City where I thought there would be an abundance of available seats due to the recent WTC attacks.

But guess what? I couldn't find a seat in the joint.

Not until I was gently "ushered" to a hidden spare chair by a most pleasant young lady.

Jimmy Scott was one-half of the attraction tonight. Jimmy's about ninety years young. He still remembers how to hit about three notes when he sings. They are "all" off key, but he is one hell of an act and showman.

Jimmy's band? World Class! Literally. Do you remember Jimmy Scott?

In any event, good to see some folks around here initiating new threads. It's otherwise been very uninspiring on SI, lately, as elsewhere, if Internet boards are where one looks for inspiration.

Yes, I know. A lot of factors. Maybe your example will go a distance to reverse the tide ;)

Lindy...sounds like my kinda place during this climate...I've been doing a lot of option day trading, scalping 1.00 or .25 when it's necessary...thanks for starting the site. I think it's a great way to think through our short term flashes of pure dumminess! PoetTrader

Lindy from G/K to day trader! If you remember on the G/K thread back in March I said I had
been out of the market since Nov 2000, after first getting out in June 2000. One of the few
comments I got at that time was, if I wasn’t going to hold the G/K stocks for the long term I
might as well buy Gold! <g> Now the G/K philosophy has been abandoned by many.

Good luck with the trading.
