I finished second this week by 10 bucks with one measly trade? That's pretty depressing. I think Kirby should get some special kind of recognition for his 7 for 7 month. That's pretty impressive. Looking at the overall monthly statistics, it underscores how difficult it is to make money in this market. No kidding! I had a perfect month of real trading, NO LOSSES (no trades, either). This virtual thing is great until we can get some, uhh, traction (can you think of a better name?). Keep it up, Vital. CD

Concentrate on the what the chart is saying and not what you think it says and the stop losses will be minimized. Expand you view and use a 30 minute chart with minimal indicators. I only use MACD and i only use when it reaches extremes with a noticeable divergence. Use Candlesticks on the charts, they are a better indicator of buy / sell pressure. I look for a candle that is 2 - 3 times the size of previous candle formations after a run up to tell me the trend is nearing its end. To Activate a trade , i make sure that my trading stock mirrors the activity of the US indexes and take the trade in the direction of those Indexes. Key is to figure out where they are going first which gives you a clue as to wether the setup on the individual chart will follow the expected path. If CLS is setting up to go up and the Indexes are falling I won;t touch CLS for a Long or a Short . IF CLS looks like it will fall, and the indexes are falling then i will short and vice versa. I also prefer the Macd to be doing its retest of its 5 day high for a short and a retest of the 5 day low for a buy. I want a divergence in MACD and price on the Chart.
