... so off they went, down into the still smoldering hole where the cab used to be.

Precious had begun documenting the events in her handy-dandy notepad. "Have to make sure I get all the details so I can have something to discuss at the next meeting of the Western Literary Society [WLS]", she said to no one in particular. It's a good thing that she said it to no one in particular, because no one cared ... in particular, her roving band of companions.

Bugs Pond (our hero!) was busy tapping away on his PDA as he climbed down into the hole. "Gotta' make sure all these expenses are documented, so my benefactor can cover them. Cab fare ... $10,000 ..."

Muffy tagged along, slightly behind Bugs, wondering why they were leaving the relative security of an open air location for the dark depths of that gaping hole. " ... why are we following a talking rabbit?", she wondered.

Rear was the last in the line, bringing up the ... uh ... rear.

The cabbie was just now beginning to realize that those cheap turkeys didn't leave him a tip. And, after he waited for them in his cab for over a month !! He picked up one of the banged up trash cans and threw it down into the hole.

He expected it to make a crashing sound .. but .. nothing.

"That's strange", thought the cabbie. He walked over to the gaping hole and looked down into it to see what was to be seen.

But, there was nothing there.

Nothing.

Nada.

El zippo.

Like, you know ... zilch.

Everybody had disappeared. The garbage can, too.

"What the ... ??"
